A device is provided for monitoring the dispensing activity of a spirits measure and providing data relating to the unique identity of the spirits measure. The data is provided by an electronic device or circuit affixed to the spirits measure as part of a system designed to record the activity of more than one spirits measure. The device also collects data relating to when the spirits measure is attached or removed from its mounting bracket. The invention may include a sensor engineered to fit onto or alternatively replace a standard spirits measure clamp. It may communicate collected data by digital radio transmission, fiber optic cable, infra red light or wires. The device may be battery powered. |
