An exercise device comprises base 10; upright support 11 extending from the base; spindle 12 provided on the upright support; two cranks 30 rotatably attached to the upright support via a shaft 21, each crank including a pivot rod 31 spaced from the shaft 21; two handles 40 each having a middle portion 41 pivotally attached to upright support 11 via the spindle 12, handles 40 further having upper grips 42 and lower portions 43; and two foot supports 50 each including front portions 51 pivotally attached to the pivot rod 31 of a respective crank 30 for allowing cyclical movement of foot portions 50 with respect to upright support 11, foot supports 50 each also including rear portions 53 pivotally attached to rear portion 15 of base 10. Lower portions 43 of the handles 40 are pivotally coupled to the foot supports 50 to allow the movement stroke of the foot supports to be controlled using the handles. Means, e.g. wheels 20, 22, may be included for resisting rotational motion of the shaft and cranks, and means, e.g. cranks 62, may be provided for coupling the handles together. Foot supports 50 may each include foot pedals 56. |
