An impact energy absorbing device of a vehicle is provided to convert gel filled inside a longitudinal member connected to an impact bar into kinetic energy in case impact is exerted to the impact bar and secure the safety of a vehicle and a passenger by absorbing impact energy by opening a gel plug with kinetic energy. In a vehicle having a longitudinal member(20) connected to the impact bar, an impact energy absorbing device comprises at least one gel jetting hole formed on the inner surface or the top of the longitudinal member; a damping load gel(30) filled inside an inside chamber of the longitudinal member through the gel jetting hole; and a gel plug made from rubber or silicon material, assembled to the gel jetting hole and separated by impact flow of gel.
