Method for recording handover failures in a cellular communications network (CN) comprising a plurality of base stations (eNB1, eNB2, eNB3) and mobile user equipment (UE), said mobile user equipment (UE) being communicatively coupled to at least one of said base stations (eNB1, eNB2, eNB3), wherein identification data of base stations (eNB1, eNB2, eNB3) involved in a handover procedure from one base station (eNB1) to another base station (eNB2) is stored as handover failure data in said mobile user equipment (UE) for later analysis if a handover failure occurs.
