An automatic orbital welding machine for repairing a defected heat pipe of a steam generator is provided to improve the accuracy of operation. An automatic orbital welding machine for repairing a defected heat pipe of a steam generator comprises: a rear side mounting plate(20) equipped in the rear side of body housing(10); a longitudinal driving unit(30) installed in the rear side mounting plate in order to move the body housing to top and bottom; a machinery establishment board(40) mounted on the upper side of the rear side mounting plate; a horizontal position detecting unit(50) sensing the location of the heat pipe and the horizontal state of a welding unit(12); and a fixing member(60) equipped in the rear side mounting plate.
