The mechanism for obtaining a maneuvering force causing the butterfly valve to move through a quarter turn, uses a transmission system with a curve (II) representative of the reduction gearing coefficient that is convex in shape, the curve being related to the ratio of a maneuvering force to a nominal force. The curve has its convex side facing upwards, and the maximum reduction gearing coefficient is obtained for an angle of about 20 to 40 degrees. The mobile component used for the procedure is a slider which travels in a trajectory and a shoe which moves in a direction not parallel to the trajectory and is connected to a component able to turn on a fixed support. |
