The use as corrosion inhibitors of compositions containing (A) metal salts of N-acylmethionines and (B) anionic surfactants. The use as corrosion inhibitors of compositions containing (A) metal salts of compounds of formula (1) and (B) anionic surfactants. H 3C-S-CH 2CH 2-CH(NHCOR 1>)(COOH) (1) R 1>1-29C alkyl, 2-29C alkenyl, 6-30C aryl or 7-30C alkyl-aryl .An independent claim is included for compositions containing (A) and (B) as above.
