A wind restraint for mounting on a side frame of a door opening in which a curtain (2) is mounted comprises a bracket mounting first and second rollers (8a, 8b) upon respective spindles below an opposed pair of guide plates (5, 6) which define a gap through which an edge margin of the door curtain (2) is vertically guided. The spindles are parallel and lie at opposite sides of the curtain plane (2) so that the rollers contact opposing curtain surfaces. The spindles are located one above the other. Spindle of roller 8b is adjustable relative to the spindle of roller 8a to be able to deflect curtain (2) from its vertical plane when extending through the restraint. Third fixed and fourth adjustable rollers may also be provided. The rollers may be frusto-conical or polygonal in cross-section. Axially extending grooves on the periphery of the rollers and corresponding ribs on the curtain may be provided. Alternatively, the rollers or curtain may be provided with a coating, a barb and loop fastening material, or bumps and dimples to enhance grip. At least one roller may be axially movable on its spindle. |
