TRANSREFLECTIVE LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

A transflective liquid crystal display and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to improve light transmittance of a light reflecting area. A first insulating substrate(SUB1) is transparent by having materials such as glass or plastic. Red/green/blue/white sub pixels(R/G/B/W) are formed on the first insulating substrate to form a unit pixel. A second insulating substrate(SUB2) is arranged correspondingly to the first insulating substrate. The second insulating substrate is made of glass or plastic so that the second insulating substrate is transparent. A liquid crystal layer is interposed between the first and second insulating substrates. A light reflective electrode is formed on the second insulating substrate.
