<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission capable of effectively making use of fluid driving force of a magnetic fluid. <P>SOLUTION: A pair of rollers 2, 3 made of magnetic material rotatable around mutually-parallel axes X1, X2 are arranged to generate a gap 7 between their outer peripheral surfaces 2a, 3a, the magnetic fluid 8 is housed in the gap 7, and transmission of power is enabled between the rollers 2, 3 via the gap 7 by making a magnetic field MF generate between the rollers 2, 3 via the gap 7. When the rear side in the rotation direction of the rollers 2, 3 viewed from the center of the gap 7 is set up to be the inlet side 7a and the front side in the rotating direction of the rollers 2, 3 is set up to be the outlet side 7b, a low-temperature side heat exchanger 11 is arranged on the inlet side 7a, a high-temperature side heat exchanger 12 is arranged on the outlet side 7b, and temperature of the magnetic fluid 8 is set up to be higher at the outlet side 7b than at the inlet side 7a. Fluid driving force is generated on the magnetic fluid 8 so as to approach from the inlet side 7a to the outlet side 7b by their temperature difference, and the fluid driving force is added to the driven roller 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
