<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitor image recording apparatus, capable of reducing the variation of a response time by improving responsiveness during multi-screen playback. <P>SOLUTION: A monitor image recording apparatus comprises: MPEG decoders 12a-12d for decoding image data of encoded moving images captured from cameras 1a-1d of a plurality of channels; an image-recognizing section 15 which recognizes decoded images to determine event occurrence in a plurality of moving images; an encode control section 16, which determines leading and ending frames of a group-of-pictures (GOP) regarding moving images of the plurality of channels, based on the event information on event occurrence; H.264 encoders 14a-14d for re-encoding the decoded images of the plurality of channels, based on encoding information containing information on the GOP; and a recording control section 17, which generates a management table having image management information having the event information and the encoding information and records image data re-encoded and made to associate with the image management information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
