PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent and highly safe antitumor agent with little side effects, specifically and effectively inhibiting the in vivo proliferation of tumor cells, and to provide a medicinal composition comprising the antitumor agent. SOLUTION: The antitumor agent contains at least one of a sulphostin-related compound represented by general formula (I) (wherein, n is an integer of 1-3), a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof and a hydrate thereof as an active ingredient.
