PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform support so as to take proper measures against an emergency when the emergency, such as the intrusion of a suspicious person occurs in a speech communication system capable of transmitting and receiving a voice signal between respective terminal devices through a network. SOLUTION: This speech communication system 10 for a school is provided with a plurality of telephone type IP terminal devices 12, 12, ... installed at proper places in a teacher's room, each classroom, or the like. Further, the respective IP terminal devices 12 are provided with an emergency button, wherein a voice message including information of the installation place of the IP terminal device 12 is output from speakers of respective IP terminal devices 10 designated as an emergency broadcast destination when the emergency button is depressed. Then, a person receiving the voice message can intuitively recognize occurrence of an emergency and the place of the occurrence of the emergency so that the person can take proper measures of evacuating children safely.
