PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control signal reception device that eliminates the need to provide a reception unit exclusively for each remote controller in a configuration wherein a plurality of reception units for receiving a remote control code signal from a remote controller are provided, and also can be prevented from operating not as a user intends since operations by a plurality of remote controllers are alternately employed even when the remote control code signals from the plurality of remote controllers are simultaneously received by the plurality of reception units. SOLUTION: Code waveform shaping units 12a to 12c waveform-shape a received remote control code signal, decides the shaping result, and output it to a code waveform shaping unit selector 13. The code waveform shaping unit selector 13 has a selecting means 131 of selecting a code waveform shaping unit out of the units 12a to 12c according to the shaping result and outputs the result to a CPU 14 etc., and an output limiting means 132 of inhibiting remote control code signals input from code waveform shaping units other than the selected code waveform shaping unit from being output for a predetermined period.
