PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small contact sensor that can vary the pressing force of contact on a measuring object, while suppressing energy consumption and can be used in any measuring direction. SOLUTION: The contact sensor is constituted of the contact 13, that is disposed at a shaft end of a shaft 12 and projects to the outside of a cylinder 1; a first permanent magnet 14 disposed at the shaft end on the opposite side to the contact 13; a direct-operated bearing 8 that is fixed to the cylinder 1, is slidably in contact with the shaft 12, and guides the shaft 12 to the longitudinal direction of the shaft; a sensor element 10 for measuring the position of the longitudinal direction of the shaft 12; an electromagnet 5 formed by winding the winding wire 4 by an insulated wire on the magnetic core 3, made of a magnetic material, is disposed facing the first permanent magnet 14, and has a magnetic field direction opposite to that of the first permanent magnet 14; and a second permanent magnet 7, having a magnetic field direction that is opposite in direction to that of the first permanent magnet 14 so as to become identical that of the electromagnet 5.
