PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To normally easily keep a size of the mesh of a filter body constituting a filter device at a planned size. SOLUTION: The filter device F has the bag-like filter body 1, and a space forming member 2 contained in the filter body 1 and normally keeping the filter body 1 in an inflated bag state, mountable to a fuel sucking port P set in a fuel tank T with an inner space 10 of the filter body 1 communicating therewith. The filter body 1 is provided with an upper face 11 and a lower face 12. At least the lower face 12 of the filter body 1 is provided with an inner layer part 13 consisting of nonwoven fabric constituted of olefinic resin fiber like polypropylene and an outer layer part 14 consisting of textile mesh.
