A two-for-one twisting spindle runs in an upper (10) and lower (11) bearing and is fed with oil through an inlet (15) located between them. Opposite the inlet (15) is a distributor ring (12) with a sloping upper surface (12.1), e.g. of trapezoidal cross-section or more complex shape, that provides an oil reservoir when the spindle is stopped. The spindle shaft (3) has a groove into which the ring (12) can be clipped on. The bearing housing (4) is made by injection molding in a high strength plastic with ribs (4.3) and the upper bearing (10) molded in. A downward projection (8.1) on the disk (8), which rotates with the spindle (3), prevents waste yarn entering the bearings during a yarn break. |
