<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely fit an objective lens with a proper amount of UV-curable adhesive. <P>SOLUTION: The optical pickup fits an objective lens OL on a lens holder 1 by opening a light passing hole 2 through a lens holder 1, forming a lens seat 4 along the inner periphery edge of the light passing hole 2 by forming an engaging hole 3 of a diameter larger than the light passing hole 2 concentrically with the light passing hole 2 on the upper surface 1a of the lens holder 1, forming a plurality of concave parts 5 for filling with a predetermined space in the circumferential direction from the inner periphery surface of the engaging hole 3 to the upper surface 1a of the lens holder 1, inserting the objective lens OL into the engaging hole 3 to mount it on the lens seat 4, filling UV-curable adhesive into the concave parts for filling 5 from the nozzle 6 of an adhesive filler, and radiating an ultraviolet light to harden the UV-curable adhesive.
