PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calibrating circuit and method which maintain a constant threshold for sensing signals, to a plurality of signal receivers for receiving data signals in the form of current signals. SOLUTION: In the calibrating circuit and method, a control circuit for controlling a plurality of signal thresholds to a plurality of current-signal receivers generates threshold control signals to the respective signal receivers for controlling the data-signal sensing thresholds. By using the threshold control signals, each receiver detects one value of the incoming current-signals having respective predetermined patterns, and controls the threshold.
