PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile station device capable of providing the reduction of time necessary to search, to provide a search method thereof, to provide a search program, and to provide a computer readable recording medium. SOLUTION: The mobile station device 1 is equipped with a wireless unit 20, capable of receiving the signals of a plurality of frequency channels, a detecting unit 41, detecting whether a signal from a base station is included in the signal of a first frequency channel received by the wireless unit 20 or not, and a frequency channel control unit 42, determining a second frequency channel which becomes the frequency channel of a next receiving object based on the detecting result to control the wireless unit 20. Further, the frequency channel control unit 42 determines the second frequency channel so that a first zone consisting of whole zone or the like of the first frequency channel will not be superposed on a second zone consisting of whole zones or the like of the second frequency channel.
