PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optical device, performing continuity test without contact of a probe with an electro-optical panel. SOLUTION: The electro-optical device includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a conductive layer, a flexible board, a plurality of ground terminals, a plurality of conductive members and a plurality of conducting pads. The plurality of ground terminals are electrically connected to each one end of the plurality of wires on the flexible board. The plurality of conductive members are formed so that the plurality of ground terminals and a plurality of positions at the end on the projecting area side of the conductive layer conduct with each other. The plurality of conducting pads respectively conduct with each of the other ends on the flexible pad. Among the plurality of conducting pads, the potential of at least one conducting pad is made ground potential. Thus, the probe is brought into contact with the space between the conducting pads and a current is caused to flow to perform testing continuity between the conductive layer and the conducting pad of ground potential.
