PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring screw-thread shape, capable of measuring values of various properties of a screw-thread shape with use of a commonly-used three-dimensional measuring device. SOLUTION: The method for measuring screw-thread shape includes: an axis alignment step of, with use of a three-dimensional measuring device on which a work having a screw-thread shape to be measured is mounted, a tracing probe to be mounted on the three-dimensional measuring device, and a stylus, mounted on the tracing probe, which has a contact portion that is brought into contact with the work, aligning a tracing measurement axis line of the tracing probe with a central axis line of the screw-thread shape (Step ST4); a tracing measurement step of moving the tracing probe along the tracing measurement axis line while keeping the stylus in contact with the screw-thread shape (Steps ST5 and ST8); and a computation step of computing values of various properties of the crew-thread shape from measurement data obtained by the tracing measurement (Steps ST7 and ST9).
