PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that an existing device does not sufficiently control ventilation of an airflow in an opening such as a window or the like nor cannot correspond to a sudden strong wind although the room is ventilated to a certain extent. SOLUTION: A ventilation control device, which is composed of a movable slat having different air resistance depending on a wind direction and a wind velocity and a mechanism for retaining the slat, is placed by a window, so as to optimally keep the airflow to and from the room. That is, an adjustment mechanism for the slat is set up so as to show a small air resistance when the wind velocity is low and also to show a large air resistance or to shut off according to its degree when the wind velocity coming into the outside is high for either direction exhausting from or coming into the room as far as the wind direction is concerned. The relation between the wind velocity and the air resistance is adjustable so as to obtain a favorable state according to individual conditions. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
