PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jack receiver enabling the reduction of construction cost for replacing the bearings of a truss bridge; and also a method of replacing the bearings of the truss bridge. SOLUTION: This jack receiver 50 is detachably fitted to each of inclined axial force members 21. Since the jack receiver 50 can be removed while its shape is maintained, the removed jack receiver 50 can be re-used for another beam 20. Therefore, merely the jack receivers 50 of such a quantity that is required for bearing replacement operation are manufactured. Since the cost for manufacturing the jack receivers 50 in the overall operation for the replacement of bearings can be reduced, the construction cost for replacing the bearings of the truss bridge 10 can be reduced. Also, the removed jack receiver does not need to be disposed of, the occurrence of refuse can be suppressed, and a load on the environment can be kept at a low level. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
