PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a yeast having high content of S-adenosylmethionine and glutathione and producible by a simple and economical method, and a method for producing the yeast. SOLUTION: The yeast having high content of S-adenosylmethionine and glutathione containing≥2 wt.% of S-adenosylmethionine and≥2 wt.% of glutathione based on dry yeast cell weight is produced by culturing a yeast strain in a medium containing methionine and glutamic acid or its salt.
