The rear shelf (2) has an additional functional part i.e. retaining pins (16, 18), arranged at a plate-shaped base body (4). The functional part together with the base body is formed to be one-piece as an injection molding part from a polypropylene wood mixture. The functional part is a fastening unit for fastening the rear shelf at a motor vehicle. The fastening units are brought into a recess at the motor vehicle. The rear shelf is arranged in the tail of the motor vehicle to separate a loading space upward from a passenger compartment.
