<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To a material composition for generating hydrogen enabling a hydrogen generation reaction to be easily controlled, and a method for producing hydrogen. <P>SOLUTION: The material composition for generating hydrogen comprises a specified metal powder and a hydrophilic-hydrophobic thermally reversible polymer which, in the co-presence of water, exhibits hydrophilicity at a prescribed transition temperature or lower and hydrophobicity at a temperature higher than the transition temperature. The method for producing hydrogen comprises reacting the hydrogen generation material composition with water, or reacting a hydrogen generation material composition containing a specified metal powder with the water containing the hydrophilic-hydrophobic thermally reversible polymer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
