<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide information processing equipment which can lower the probability of competing characters being displayed facing unnatural directions when the images of competing characters are displayed in the left side area and the right side area of a display area in a display screen in a competing type game, an information processing method, an information processing program and a recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: The information processing equipment 100 is information processing equipment for performing a competing type game, and has an input means 31 to input pictures drawn by users as images, a display means 35 to display the input images arranged in the left side area and the right side area of the display area in the display screen 51 in the front view of the display screen 51, an image inversion means 34 to reverse the right and left directions of the input images, a generation means 32 to generate competing information 22 on the basis of the quantity of characteristics of the input images, an execution means 33 to execute a game on the basis of the competing information 22 of a plurality of users.
