<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxide phosphor in which stability of purple-blue excitation by a nitride semiconductor light emitting element is improved, and to provide a light emitting apparatus in which stability of power conversion efficiency is excellent by using the same. <P>SOLUTION: Disclosed is an oxide phosphor comprising oxide crystals expressed by general formula (I) A<SB>3</SB>(Al<SB>x</SB>Ga<SB>y</SB>B<SB>z</SB>)<SB>5</SB>O<SB>12</SB>:Sm<SP>3+</SP>(wherein, A is one or more elements selected from Y, La and Gd; B is one or more elements selected from Sc, Sb, Ti, V, Cr, Fe and Co; and 0.2≤x≤0.7, 0.05≤z≤0.2 and x+y+z=1 are satisfied). Also disclosed is a light emitting apparatus provided with: the oxide phosphor; and an exciting light source for exciting the oxide phosphor and obtaining red-orange light emission, which has a wavelength peak of 390 to 420 nm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
