PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for eliminating voice interruption when continuing speech communication while switching a master unit and a slave unit during the speech communication in an extension telephone system using a main unit. SOLUTION: A wireless AP 3 and the master unit 21 are connected to an extension network 4, and the slave unit 22 is connected to the extension network 4 through the wireless AP 3. Then, the main unit 1 housing the extension network 4 and an outside line network 5 is made to manage the correspondence relation of the master unit 21 and a slave unit 22 constituting an extension phone set 2, to transmit voice from a communicating party to both of the master unit 21 and the slave unit 22, to mix the voice from the master unit 21 and the slave unit 22, and to transmit it to the communicating party. Corresponding to the state of mounting the slave unit 22 on the master unit 21, the master unit 21 and the slave unit 22 autonomously control the reproduction output level of the voice.
