PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an organic light emitting device having excellent current and light-emitting characteristics. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of an organic light emitting device having the first electrode functioning as the cathode, an organic compound layer and the second electrode functioning as the anode, the latter two being laid one on top of the other on the first electrode, the surface of the cathode formed on the substrate is irradiated with UV light under pressure in the range from 1×10<SP>-5</SP>Pa to 1×10<SP>2</SP>Pa, and thereafter, the organic compound layer and the anode are formed.
