METHOD FOR INVESTIGATION OF LOCATION AND BEHAVIOR OF AQUATIC ANIMAL, AND RECEIVING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for investigation of the location and behavior of aquatic animals and a receiving system such that, even in a wide area of investigation, such as a wide river, can receive electric wave signals substantially in an exhaustive manner from transmitter mounted on an aquatic animal and that can be installed readily. SOLUTION: The method for investigation includes the steps of mounting a transmitter 1 on an aquatic animal; providing an antenna section 3, having at least one long antenna 30 extending so as to cross the area of investigation; connecting a receiving section 4 to the antenna section 3; and receiving a signal from the transmitter 1 by the receiving section 4 via the antenna section 3; and identifying the location of the aquatic animal according to the signal thus received.
