PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a travelling device between opposing surfaces adaptable to various widths for travelling in a pipe or in a space between neighboring buildings, e.g., without being influenced by material quality. SOLUTION: The travelling device comprises at least three driven carriages 13-15 each having front and rear wheels 11, 12 and arranged in series, and connection mechanism 18, 18a having arms 16, 17 connecting the neighboring driven carriages 13-15 to each other.
