PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an eraser apparatus capable of surely erasing the trace of writing with an ink erasable with water and keeping a writing face under a dry condition. SOLUTION: A wiping material 2 with water retention characteristics is composed of a PVA sponge. The wiping material 2 is retained by an eraser body 3. The eraser body 3 is held by a holder 4 so as to be freely attachable/detachable. The wiping material 2 is stored in a storing space formed under the condition that the eraser body 3 is retained by the holder 4 to prevent the wiping material 2 from drying. By wiping a writing face with the wiping material 2, water content on the writing face is wiped without remaining water while water content is fed on the writing face and erasing the trace of writing.
