PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smoke sensor which is satisfactory in the inflow property of smoke, and which is hardly affected by external rays of light. SOLUTION: This smoke sensor is composed so that a light emission part is provided in a smoke sensing chamber A around which a plurality of labyrinth barriers 12 are formed, and a light receiving part is provided at a position where the rays of light emitted from the light emitting part are not directly received, so as to make up a smoke sensing region, and the light receiving part receives scattered rays of light due to smoke flowing from a smoke inflow port 15 formed in the gap of the plurality of labyrinth barriers into the smoke sensing region so that a fire can be detected. The light receiving part is arranged by positioning the optical axis at the bottom face side of the smoke sensing chamber A rather than the smoke inflow port 15. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
