A configuration method of cryptographically generated address is disclosed. The configuration method is used for cryptographically generated address coinciding with the requirement of network configuration, and contains steps as follows: a dynamic host configure protocol DHCP server receiving client's configuration from a client; said DHCP server generating CGA address according to said client's configuration and said DHCP server's network configuration; said DHCP server sending CGA address to said client. The present invention embodiment can make reference to network configuration when generating CGA address, which overcomes the disadvantage that CGA address generated by a client can not satisfy the requirement of network configuration in prior art, thus a network management layer can intervene generation of CGA address, and management ability of network is increased.
