AN ADAPTIVE GUARD INTERVAL FOR BLOCK TRANSMISSION PROTOCOLS

A communication protocol for adaptively generating guard intervals based on available resources of devices in an infrastructure based network, wherein a first device in the network is caused to transmit zero prefix guard intervals based upon power resource of the first device, and wherein a second device in the network is caused to transmit cyclic prefix guard intervals based upon power resource of the second device being greater than that of the first device.
