SERVO BRAKE

The invention relates to a servo brake for a brake-by-wire-type motor vehicle brake system. Said servo brake can be actuated by means of a brake pedal and an electronic control unit in accordance with the driver's wishes and independently of the driver's intentions. The brake pedal is coupled to an input member of the servo brake by means of a piston rod head having longitudinal guiding openings in such a way that the brake pedal can be moved to a limited extent relative to the input member, thus ensuring that the force-transmitting connection between the brake pedal and the input member is canceled especially in the brake-by-wire mode of operation. In order to make it easier to mount the brake pedal in the interior of the motor vehicle, especially to couple the brake pedal to the input member of the servo brake, the piston rod head (8) is designed as a U-shaped bent part which embraces the brake pedal (4).
