LOADING APPARATUS

A loading apparatus (10) for loading blister cards (14) into sleeves (18) includes a blister card magazine (12) for receiving a stack of blister cards (14) and a sleeve magazine (16) for receiving a stack of sleeves (18). A loading conveyor (22) moves a lug (24) along a path (P1) to load a blister card (14) into a sleeve (18). A gate (26) releasably retains the sleeve (18) in a loading position as the blister card (14) is loaded into the sleeve (18). The loading apparatus (10) also includes a hopper (27) that facilitates loading sleeves (18) into the sleeve magazine (16) and sensors that ensure the blister cards (14) are properly loaded into sleeves (18).
