<p>The invention relates to a transition between different sub-band domains for compacting in a single processing operation the application of a first vector X(z), comprising a first number L of components in sub-bands, to a bank of synthesis filters, then to a bank of analysis filters, to obtain a second vector Y(z) comprising a second number of components M in sub-bands. The banks of synthesis and analysis filters implement modulation transforms and each result from the modulation of a prototype filter by a modulation matrix. After determination of a third number K , the lowest common multiple between the first number L and the second number M, there are provided: the application of the first vector X(z) to the transpose of the modulation matrix DTf of the bank of synthesis filters; if the third number K is different from the first number L, an arrangement in blocks by a serial/parallel conversion of the first vector to obtain p2 polyphase component vectors, with p2 - K/L; the application of a chosen matrix filtering, involving a conversion matrix, square and of dimensions 2K OE2K, to the p2 polyphase component vectors to obtain p? polyphase component vectors of the second vector, with p1 = K/M; if the third number K is different from the second number M, an arrangement in blocks by a parallel/serial conversion to obtain said second vector, and the second vector Y(z) results from the application of the modulation matrix Ch of the bank of analysis filters.</p> |
