An apparatus for verifying the functions and applications of a mobile communication terminal is provided to enable a testing person to test the functions of the mobile terminal simply according to various scenarios through an automatic device, not manual testing, by offering a tool for automatically testing the functions. A function testing apparatus is based on a PC. A test application(10) and a communication port(20) which communicates with a test terminal(30) are installed in the PC. The test terminal is connected to the PC. The test application consists of an AT command simulator(110), an AT command emulator(120), a PDA simulator(130) and an LBS simulator(140). The AT command simulator efficiently confirms whether the AT-command used for a general terminal is operated through a scenario made in advance. The AT command emulator provides a virtual UI(User Interface) in advance according to the use purpose of a special terminal with respect to a modem/module which does not have a UI(User Interface) among special terminals, in order to test an SMS or a voice call, and then tests a data call by using a separate AT-command window. The PDA simulator manufactures and confirms a scenario for testing the functions of a PDA and confirmation, checks exception operations, and displays system information.
