A system for monitoring power facilities using a location based service is provided to perform a service for grasping real time information and diagnosing a state about the power facilities by using a terrestrial frequency, thereby more efficiently monitoring the power facilities. A power facilities diagnostic unit(110) is installed in a power facility. And the power facilities diagnostic unit grasps status information of the power facilities, and transmits the grasped information through a terrestrial frequency. A power facilities monitoring unit(130) monitors whether an error is present in the status information transmitted from the power facilities diagnostic unit. If so, the power facilities monitoring unit transmits control information corresponding to the error. A base station(120) relays the terrestrial frequency between the power facilities monitoring unit and the power facilities diagnostic unit. The base station includes a location information database(125) for the power facilities diagnostic unit. |
