METHOD OF PROCESSING E-MAIL ADDRESS AND STORAGE MEDIUM OF STORING PROGRAM EXECUTING THE SAME

A method for processing an e-mail address and a recording medium recording a program for performing the same are provided to input an e-mail address to the address window of a web browser, thereby enabling all client terminals within a group to use an E-mail by using the address window even when a processing program is installed to only one client terminal within the group connected to a local network. An inquiring message including a character string from a first client terminal delivered via a local network to which a plurality of client terminals is connected is transmitted to a second client terminal. The inquiring message is analyzed. In case the inquiring message uses the local network as the destination, the processing of the inquiring message is determined. It is determined whether the character string is an e-mail address or not. If the character string is the e-mail address, a response message including the Internet address of an e-mail address processing server(DNS) is transmitted to the first client terminal.
