METHOD OF CERTIFICATING USER IN ONLINE BANKING SERVICE USING SMART CARD

A method for authenticating a user with a smart card in an online financial service is provided to reduce security risk of security card information by using the encoded security card information stored in the smart card and offer the online financial service quickly and easily by omitting an input process. A user terminal requests an applet for a security card to a security card server(102). The security card server requests the user terminal to authenticate a user requesting the security card applet(104). The user terminal transfers a PIN(Personal Identification Number) received from the user to the smart card(106). The smart card transfers a user authentication result to the user terminal by comparing the PIN with the PIN stored in the smart card(108). The user terminal displays and transfers the user authentication result to the security card server(110). The security card server downloads the security card applet to the user terminal(116). The user terminal issues the security card applet to a smart card of the user(118). The smart card transfers an issuance result to the user terminal when the security card applet is completely issued(120).
