A digital photographing apparatus including a rotating image sensor is provided to adjust strength and direction of a magnetic force, thereby rotating the image sensor. A digital camera comprises a main frame(210), the first coil unit(220), a shutter unit(230), an image sensor unit(240), the second coil unit(250) and a torsional elasticity member(260). The main frame is supported in a main body of a digital photographing apparatus. The first coil unit is fixed to the main frame and connected to the first power supply. The shutter unit adjusts the amount of light. The image sensor unit converts light incident through the shutter unit into an electric signal. The second coil unit supports the shutter unit and the image sensor unit and is connected to the second power supply. The torsional elasticity member is connected to the second coil unit and is rotatable. When the first and second power are applied, the second coil unit rotates in the first coil unit direction by magnetic forces generated in the first and second coil units, therefore the shutter unit and the image sensor unit rotate in the first coil unit direction.
