The door for a self-catching box for pigs has a slide (11) which carries a cam (17) which activates a lock (13) when the door swings, so that a bolt (12) is released. The bolt fits into an aperture (22) in the slide to lock the door. The bolt moves over stops (23) on the slide which maintain it in its mounting (16). Independent claims are included for: (A) self-catching boxes fitted with the door; and (B) a system of self-catching boxes whose doors can be adjusted individually or as a group.
