EFFECTIVE SYSTEM INFORMATION RECEPTION METHOD

An effective system information reception method about a wireless communications system and a wireless terminal providing a wireless communications service is provided to minimize power consumption of the terminal to receive control information and to maximize the effectiveness of the radio resource. Period information related to system information and the change of system information is received. It determines whether it is not necessary to change the system information. If it determines system information is changed, the new system information is received according to period information. The period information is minimum period capable of changing the system information.
