INTERNAL GEAR DIAMOND DRESSER, TRUING/DRESSING METHOD OF WHETSTONE FOR GEAR PROCESSING, AND GRINDING METHOD OF INTERNAL GEAR

An internal gear diamond dresser which can perform highly efficient high precision truing and dressing of a whetstone for grinding a tempered internal gear with high precision, is provided. An internal gear diamond dresser (1) having a tooth profile formed at the inner diameter portion of a ring like base and designed with specifications substantially identical to those of the internal gear of a workpiece is employed. Preferably, main specifications of the gear, i.e. module, pressure angle, twisting angle, tooth thickness or the like are entirely identical to those of the workpiece, and the tooth width and tooth depth are designed slightly larger than those of the workpiece in order to secure meshing with the whetstone. The number of teeth is increased/decreased according to the specification of the diamond dresser. More preferably, a centering reference surface is provided at the tooth tip of the dresser so that the internal gear diamond dresser can be fixed to a machine with higher precision.
