An envelope bag and a method for manufacturing the same are provided, in which the bag has a handle of high intensity and the bottom part of a certain area. An envelope bag comprises: a pair of handles(121) arranged to get wider and formed of an inlet part; and a pair of reinforcing members(123) which are welded after being attached on the outer side of each handle. The upper end of the reinforcing member is arranged higher than the upper end of handle. The upper ends of a pair of reinforcing members are welded by each other in the sealing of the inlet part.
