1,267,876. Telegraphic error correction. SIEMENS A.G. 26 March, 1970 [31 March, 1969], No. 14707/70. Heading H4P. In a telegraphic transmission system where errors are corrected by repetition, a start signal effecting retransmission is inhibited until receipt from a receiver of a call-up signal demanding the re-transmission. The start signal appears on lines StL or StT (and StK, not shown), when data from a tape reader, store or keyboard is available for retransmission on lines T, L or K, and is conducted to a logic circuit AL. Upon the arrival of a call-up signal on line AI the start signal is passed on line AT to an erase and control circuit Lo of a shift register D1 to D7. Upon the shift register becoming free, data in parallel form on line T, L or K enters the register via gates G1 to G5 and is transmitted in serial form via switch A5. The strapping shown with crosses may be inserted to enable transmission without the call-up signal. |
